6:00 – 8:30 pm program
Today, the trafficking of men, women and children is an
egregious crime against those enslaved by the modern traffickers as well as an
assault on the moral, legal and philosophic standards we accept as members of a
global society. Our three panelists will
look at the legal system currently being applied at state, national and
international levels. Following presentations by the panelists, there will be
participatory discussion to identify actions that might be taken to expand and
strengthen efforts to prosecute, convict and impose appropriate sentences on
sex traffickers.
